Haleiwa, Laniakea, Waimea, and then your pad...
When you drive from the aiport to the North Shore, you'll pass through the pineapple and coffee fields and then arrive at Haleiwa. The small town is the gateway to the North Shore. Here there are lots of shops and restaurants, as well as a harbor, a bridge, and a beach park with a great wave.

The next stop is Lanis. This wave breaks from 2ft to 15ft local scale. There is always a crowd here, because it's a consistently good wave... plus, it is a favorite spot for sea turtles to visit and you're likely to spot a few relaxing on the beach.

In another mile you'll find Waimea Bay, the most famous big wave spot in the world. If you're lucky, your trip will coincide with a 25ft plus day, and you will get to see Waimea in all its glory.

The next strip of coastline is where you will be staying for the next four nights. In thirty seconds, you can walk out the door and be on the beach in front of a warm water surf break.
